Teladoc becomes NCQA Certified

This service gives an individual 24/7/365 access to a national network of U.S. board-certified doctors who can resolve many of your medical issues over the phone, or online video consultations. Teledoc has just announced that they are the first & only telehealth company

in the U.S. to have a provider credentialing process that is certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This means that Teladoc has very strict standards for managing their physician network. Their physicians must be U.S. board-certified, licensed, and “highly seasoned” with an average of 15 years of practice experience. Telehealth is a fairly new concept, but so far Teladoc has set the standards in the industry. They are the only program that has certified, U.S. based doctors that are available 24/7. Typically, other telehealth programs offer a similar service, but with nurse practitioners.
