Teladoc becomes NCQA Certified

Insight Insurance Services has been offering their Freshbenies program for some time now. This easy-to-use card offers an individual the following benefits:

Recently, there have been new developments to the first benefit listed- the Teladoc service. This service gives an individual 24/7/365 access to a national network of U.S. board-certified doctors who can resolve many of your medical issues over the phone, or online video consultations. It's quality healthcare, when and where you need it, at a price you can afford. Telehealth doctors can even diagnose, treat and prescribe medication!

Teledoc has just announced that they are the first & only telehealth company
in the U.S. to have a provider credentialing process that is certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This means that Teladoc has very strict standards for managing their physician network. Their physicians must be U.S. board-certified, licensed, and “highly seasoned” with an average of 15 years of practice experience. Telehealth is a fairly new concept, but so far Teladoc has set the standards in the industry. They are the only program that has certified, U.S. based doctors that are available 24/7. Typically, other telehealth programs offer a similar service, but with nurse practitioners.

Member shall receive a full refund of membership fees, excluding registration fee, if membership is cancelled within the first 30 days after the effective date. MD Residents: The membership fee and one-time registration fee (minus $5.00) will be refunded if cancelled within the first 30 days and upon return of the discount card.
